How to Put Out the Fire and Let Go of Anger
We are all hard-wired with anger because it’s related to the‘ fight, flight, & response’ of our sympathetic nervous system. We all feel some sort of high-intensity agitation that can turn into anger and even rage.
It’s often easy to recognize the sensation in our body…our hands tremble, our cheeks become beet red, and sweat emerges from our forehead. It usually carries a message that says something like this: “Someone is harming me, someone took something away from me.”
I invite you to clarify how anger manifests itself in your body.
When we are in a particular situation it’s hard to recognize where anger comes from. Usually, we think the situation itself is causing anger.
Anger helps us survive as a species and serves to protect us. Anger has purpose. It brings to us the idea that our survival within a tribe, family, or business is protected. Anger has its place. It’s an alert on a situation that we do not want.
In this episode, we’re going to look at when it becomes problematic & the steps you can take to deescalate the fire.
If you’re ready to put out fires in other areas of your life too, I invite you to book a complimentary session with me here which will only be valid from November 14th-18th. This session can be personalized to whatever challenges are occurring in your life right now!
